Inspired by the glory days of House in the early 2000s by labels such as Hedkandi and Subliminal, they have also incorporated the sounds of funk/disco and jazz fusion from the 1970s, including bands such as Earth Wind & Fire and Weather Report. Classical composers such as Debussy, Stravinsky and Shostakovich have also allowed them to develop a rich tapestry of musical soundscapes that adds much vitality to their work.
Their music is beyond the sample driven mash-ups of many of today’s dance tracks. With sumptuous keys, soaring vocals, rounded bass and those ever-present addictive beats, they are producing songs that will work with any audience, in any environment. As 2023 rolls around, Ayeja plans to take their show on the road with their two new singles Can’t Get Over It and On My Own plus many more to come.
